Notes on the SXRD
Projection TV To enjoy clear pictures
❑
Prevent sunlight or other light sources from shining directly onto the
screen.
❑ The screen surface is easily scratched. Do not rub, touch, or tap it with a
sharp or abrasive object (see “Cleaning the Screen Surface” below).
On moisture condensation
❑
If your SXRD projection TV is moved directly from a cold to a warm
location, is placed in a humid room, or if the room temperature changes
suddenly, the picture may blur or show poor color. This is caused by
moisture condensation on the lenses inside. If this happens, leave the
power on to help the moisture evaporate. When the condensation has
evaporated, the picture of your SXRD projection TV will return to
normal.
When not using the SXRD Projection TV for a long period of time

Turn off the main power on the front of your SXRD projection TV
before going to sleep or going out. Unplug the AC power cord from the
outlet if you anticipate not using the SXRD projection TV for more than
a week.
When turning off the power

The fan will continue to operate for about two minutes. Allow several
minutes before unplugging from the outlet or switching the breaker off.
Before carrying the SXRD Projection TV
❑
Before carrying, unplug the power cord and disconnect all cables.
See page 30 for instructions on how to carry your SXRD projection TV.
❑ Be sure to first remove the speakers before moving your SXRD
projection TV.
Cleaning the Screen
Surface To remove dust from the front of the screen, wipe with the supplied cleaning
cloth.

Do not use any type of abrasive pad, alkaline cleaner, scouring powder,
window cleaners or solvent such as alcohol or benzene. Using these
types of products may damage the screen.

To clean the screen, use the supplied cleaning cloth lightly moistened
with a mild detergent and water solution. Use gentle pressure when
cleaning.

The supplied cleaning cloth is washable with warm water and a mild
detergent solution, and can be used repeatedly.

To remove the static from the screen, use the supplied anti-static brush.
All the dust and static will be removed. Use gentle pressure when
brushing.
