For 38” Frame Hung
Mowers (Snapper)
INSTALLATION
1. Remove the carriage bolts (A, Figure 2), locknuts (B)
and deflector & hinge assembly (C) from mower deck
(D).
2. Place shim (E, Figure 3) between deck (D) and
deflector & hinge assembly (C) as shown. Secure
with carriage bolts (A) and locknuts (B).

This kit is intended for 38” frame hung mowers. It
will open the gap between the mower deck and
the deflector hinge bracket to ease the installation
of some deck mounted attachments.

Before beginning any service work turn off the
PTO, set the parking brake, turn off the ignition,
and disconnect the spark plug wire(s).

The mower deflector MUST be properly installed
in the down position and retained by the spring
latch. Operating the unit without the deflector or
the deflector not properly installed will expose
operator and bystanders to rotating blades and
flying debris hazards that can cause amputation
or other injuries.
