110V Operation (W1685)

When it is necessary to use an extension cord, use the

following guidelines:

• Use cords rated for standard service.

• Use cords under 50 feet of length.

• Use cords with 14 ga. wire or bigger.

• Ensure cord has a ground wire and pin.

Extension Cords

Grounding

This machine must be grounded! The plug attached to

the electrical cord supplied with this machine comes

with a grounding pin. Do not remove it. If your outlet

does not accommodate a ground pin, have it replaced

by a qualified electrician or have an appropriate adapter

installed.

Note: When using an adapter, the adapter must be

grounded.

HP dust collector operates at 110

volts only, and draws up to 16 amps.

220V Operation (W1666)

The Model W1666 2 HP dust collector operates at 220V

only, and draws up to 12 amps. Connect a 220V 6-15

plug and outlet for your power connection (see

Figure

7).

Make sure that the power supply circuit this machine

is connected to meets local and federal electrical code

requirements. Seek assistance from a qualified electri-

cian if you are unsure about electrical codes and wiring!
