Podcast

Cannot play back an episode.

 The player does not support the file format of the episode.

Check the file format playable on the player ( p. 160).

TV output

Music screen or video is not displayed on the television’s screen.

 Set the [NTSC/PAL settings] setting according to the television you intend to

connect ( p. 46, 65).

 [TV Output(Music)] or [TV Output(Video)] is not set to [On].

Set [TV Output(Music)] ( p. 45) or [TV Output(Video)] ( p. 64) to [On].

 You do not use the optional video/audio output cable (WMC-NWV10) to connect

the player and television.

Use the optional video/audio output cable (WMC-NWV10) to connect the

player and television. For details, refer to the video/audio output cable’s manual.

 Your television’s input is not set to display image from the video/audio output cable.

Make sure that your television’s input is correctly chosen to display image from

the video/audio output cable.

Video image on the television screen is abnormal (e.g. black bars which seem to

be unnecessary appear, or image is stretched unnaturally).

 The [Zoom Settings] setting of the player is wrong.

Change [Zoom Settings] of the player ( p. 68).

 The [TV Output Size] setting of the player is not set in accordance with your

television.

Change [TV Output Size] of the player according to your television’s screen (

p. 65).

 The wide mode setting of your television is wrong.

Change the wide mode setting of your television.

Other

There is no beep sound when the player is operated.

 [Beep Settings] is set to [Off].

Set [Beep Settings] to [On] ( p. 102).

 The beep does not sound when the player is connected to the optional cradle, or

another device.

The player gets warm.

 The player may become warm when the battery is being charged and just after

charging. The player also may get warm when a large amount of data is transferred.

This behavior is normal and not cause for a concern. Set the player aside for a while

to allow it to cool down.
