New MSG

)

You can create a SMS (Short Message Service)

message and send it to other mobile phones.

Note: Message transmission is available only when

your phone is operating in a digital network and
if the service is supported by your service
provider.

1. Enter a destination number using the numeric keys.

Pressing the MENU key allows you to search your
Phonebook for a number.

2. To send your message to multiple destinations,

press the

key and enter another number.

Repeat this step, as needed. You can enter up to 10
destinations.

3. When you are finished, press the OK key.

4. Enter the message contents. For further details

about how to enter text, see page 41.

When you press the MENU key, the Canned MSG
option is available to allow you to use the ten
canned messages preset in the MSG Setting
menu; for details, see page 76.

5. When you finish entering the message, press the

OK key.

6. To select an option, press the

or

key and

press the OK key.

Messages

Your phone can receive voicemail notification, text
messages, and pages. Also, your phone can send text
messages and pages if you system supplier provides
this service.

When the phone receives a message, an alert sounds,
a text notification displays along with the name or
phone number of the caller if available. The New
Message icon (

) remains on the screen until you

read the new text, numeric page or web message, or
you listen to the new voicemail messages.

Messages are received even when your phone is in
Lock mode. To access a message, you must unlock the
phone.

To enter the Messages menu, press in Standby
mode.
