Note: If you have not activated
your AirCard 580, an Activation
Alert Notification displays once
an attempt to connect is made.
The dialog explains that you
must activate your card in order
to establish a connection.
Connect and disconnect
Connect to your service provider’s
wireless network
Once you have properly inserted the AirCard 580 wireless
modem into your notebook PC’s Type II PC Card slot. Watcher
notifies that it is “Ready” to connect to the network.
Note: A “No Service” message
appears when the AirCard 580
cannot locate the network. 1. Click the Connect button to establish a connection.

2. Watcher will take a few moments to connect to the
network. Once a connection is established, the dialog box
at the bottom of the Watcher window displays the word
“Connected,” notifying that a connection has been estab-
lished. The
Connect button changes to read Disconnect .
Disconnect from your service provider’s
wireless network
1. To end the current connection, click the Disconnect button.

2. The dialog box returns to the “ Ready ” state, notifying that
the current session is no longer active.
