IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

To reduce the risk of a battery explosion, follow these instructions and those

will not reduce this risk.
Remove personal metal items such as rings, bracelets, necklaces and watches

when working with a lead-acid battery. A lead-acid battery can produce a short-

circuit current high enough to weld a ring or the like to metal, causing a severe

burn.
Study all of the battery manufacturer’s specific precautions such as removing

or not removing the cell caps while jump starting the battery.
Never place the

Instant Power™ directly above the battery being jumped;

gases or fluids from the battery will corrode and damage the Instant Power™.

Locate the Instant Power™ as far away from the battery as the DC cables

permit.
Do not operate the

Instant Power™ with a damaged cord or plug; take it to a

Do not operate the

Instant Power™ if it has received a sharp blow, been

dropped or otherwise damaged in any way; take it to a qualified service

Do not disassemble the

PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS

Risk of explosive gases. A spark

near the battery may cause a

battery explosion. To reduce the

risk of a spark near the battery:

explosive gases during normal battery operation. For this reason, it is of

utmost importance that you follow the instructions each time you use the

Instant Power™.
NEVER smoke or allow a spark or flame in the vicinity of a battery or engine.

Do not permit the internal battery of the Instant Power™ to freeze. Never

charge a frozen battery.
To prevent sparking, connect and disconnect the DC output clips only after

setting the Instant Power™ switch to the OFF position. NEVER allow clips to

touch together or contact the same piece of metal.
