Your Samsung Phone provides the following display options:

You have several options for setting how the LCD backlight
operates. When the phone is closed, the backlight remains
off thus conserving battery power. When the phone is open,
the length of time that the backlight remains on can be set as
explained below. Remember that backlight use drains your
battery faster.
To select backlight options:
1. Press to display the Main Menu.
2. Press for Display.
3. Press for BackLight.
4. Press the scroll keys to scan the options:
Folder Open, 10 (after last keypress), 30 Seconds (after
last keypress), or Off.
5. When the desired option displays, press to save the
setting.
Note: When the phone is attached to the optional Hands-Free
Car Kit, the backlight remains on (when the phone is on and
opened). Closing the phone while it is attached to the hands-
free kit turns the backlight off.
