DESCRIPTION

BEFORE THE FIRST USE

■ Remove all packaging.

■ Before using your coffeemaker for the first time or if you have not used it for some time, rinse the

machine by running a brew cycle.

■ Follow the procedure for making coffee below, but without putting ground coffee or paper filter or

permanent mesh filter.

MAKING COFFEE

(Follow the illustrations 1 to 9)
1. Open the top lid by pressing the Water reservoir release button (d) and fill the Water tank (g) with cold

water taking careful note of the number of cups using the Water level indicator (f) as a guide Fig.1, 2, 3.

Note:

- Your coffeemaker features a quick refill cap on the top of the unit. Simply twist the cap to unlock and

fill with the required amount of water using the Water level indicator (f) as a guide.

2. Press the Coffee filter release button (c) to open the filter compartment. Add paper or permanent filter

to the brew basket Fig. 4 and 5.

3. Add ground coffee to the basket or to the Permanent filter (k) Fig. 6.

Note:

We suggest around 2 ounces for 10 cups.

4. Close the compartment, ensure the filter compartment is closed and latched properly, otherwise the

machine will not function correctly Fig. 7.

5. Insert the Thermal carafe (h) after prewarming it by rinsing it with hot water (prewarming the carafe will

help keeping coffee hotter), then securely place it on the base recess (no hot plate) .

Note:

Ensure the carafe lid is fully closed by turning the Lid lock (i) clockwise, this ensures the maximum
temperature is maintained in the carafe Fig. 8.

Note:

Please note the carefe lid must be in place during the brewing process; otherwise the non-drip
valve will not open, causing the filter to flood.

6. Press the Classic coffee button (a). The relevant button will illuminate Fig. 9.

Note:

When the brewing process is complete, the power light switches off, while the internal water tank
illumination stays on. We recommend you switch off your coffee maker as soon as brewing is
complete.

Note:

The thermal carafe will keep the coffee warm in the jug for up to four hours.

Note:

The anti drip valve will prevent any remaining coffee dripping onto the base recess during serving.
