16. When removing lime scale, only use special products for the

removal of lime scale. Never use ammonia or any other
substance that might damage your health.

17. Ensure that the kettle is properly located on the power base

before switching on.

18. Remove the kettle from power base before filling or pouring. Do

not attempt to remove the kettle from the power base until it is
switched off, manually or automatically.

19. Use the kettle only with the power base supplied and vice versa.
20. Use on a hard, flat level surface only.
21. Extreme caution must be used where handling or moving kettle

and pouring from the kettle containing boiling water.

3-PRONG PLUG INSTRUCTIONS

For your personal safety, this appliance must be grounded. This
appliance is equipped with a power supply cord having a 3-prong
grounding plug. To minimize possible shock hazard, the cord must be
plugged into a mating 3-prong, grounding type, wall receptacle,
grounded in accordance with the National Electrical Code
ANSI/NFPA 70 latest edition and all local codes and ordinances. If a
mating wall receptacle is not available, it is the personal
responsibility and obligation of the customer to have a properly
grounded, 3-prong, wall receptacle installed by a qualified
electrician.

SHORT CORD INSTRUCTIONS

A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards resulting
from becoming entangled in, or tripping over a longer cord.
Extension cords may be used if care is exercised in their use.
