- Single pass technology: prints at 25.6ppm for A4 and 27ppm for letter

- 667MHz G4 PowerPC Processor: most powerful processor against competitors. It

is the same processor used for Apple G4 computer

- Accelerating ASIC (Application-Specific Integrated Circuit) chip: It is embedded

with the Emperon controller that assists the processor in speeding up the image
processing

- Gigabit Ethernet: high speed network,

capable of transferring print jobs
at 1000Mbps (traditional Ethernet
transfers at 100Mbps)

- DDR (Double Data Rate) SDRAM:

Onboard 256MB DDR RAM is
upgradeable to 1024MB. DDR
memory modules double data
throughput and consume less energy

SPEED & PERFORMANCE

- 9600 x 600 dpi class: through process of contone halftoning, 5450 is able to

achieve 16 levels of colour scale per pixel. This is enabled by the powerful CPU
in conjunction with the Emperon controller architecture. Competitor products are
only capable of producing 2 levels
per pixel

- Simitri Polymerised Toner: uniform-

sized particles that are encapsulated
in a KM proprietary compound to
improve fusing on most media
