No image appears on the
LCD monitor.

The camera is not turned
on.

Move the lens cover slide

The camera is not in PLAY

The batteries are
exhausted.

Replace all four batteries
or use the AC adapter.

The batteries are inserted
incorrectly.

Remove the batteries and
replace in the correct
orientation (P. 18).

There is no compact flash
card in the camera (
appears in the data panel).

Insert a compact flash card
in the camera (P. 23).

The compact flash card is
not inserted properly in the
camera.

Remove the compact flash
card temporarily and
reinsert it (P. 23 - 25).

No action was taken on the
camera for longer than
approximately 3 minutes
after the camera was
turned on (Auto Power Off
feature has activated).

To restore power in REC
