Drive Mode LED - This LED indicates the
drive mode.

When the LED is: The drive is:
On ❖ In configuration mode
Off ❖
In normal operating mode, either
locked or unlocked
Blinking ❖
Ready for sensor input – a finger
can be swiped
2 Biometric Fingerprint Sensor - This is where
you swipe your finger to gain access to your
LaCie d2 SAFE Hard Drive. See chapter
3.1., How to Use the Fingerprint sensor, for
more information.
3 Power LED /Activity LED - The LED remains
lit to show that the drive is on, and blinks to
indicate drive activity.
