This feature can be handy when the iWAY recommends a route you’ve
never traveled before, letting you preview the whole way from your
start to your destination. Four play control buttons in the bottom left of
the screen allow you to control the simulator.
Use the R
EVERSE
button to move backwards along the route. Stop or re-
sume motion along the route using the P LAY / P AUSE
button, or speed up
simulation by pressing F
ORWARD
. To stop following the current route and
return to your starting location press Stop.
The iWAY will remain in Simulator Mode until you turn it off in the
Options Menu. To turn off Simulator Mode choose GPS Simulator from
the Options Menu.
NOTE:
If you are in Simulator mode while driving and reach a speed of
about 15 miles per hour or greater, and the unit acquires a satellite
lock, the unit will leave Simulator mode. If the unit does not have
satellite lock it will prompt you to simulate when you begin to navi-
gate a route. If the prompt is ignored for 20 seconds the unit will
assume you do not wish to simulate a route.
