• Protecting/Unprotecting Pictures and Video Clips
To protect or unprotect a picture or video clip by shortcut:
1. Turn the Mode dial to , then turn on the camera.
2. Switch the Joystick to / to select a picture or video clip you want
to protect or unprotect.
3. Switch the Joystick to to protect or unprotect the selected file.
4. Press the Joystick to confirm.
To protect or unprotect pictures and video clips in the menu:
1. Turn the Mode dial to , then turn on the camera.
2. Switch the Joystick to / to select a picture, video clip to protect
or unprotect.

Protect Current: Protect the selected option.
Unprotect Current: Unprotect the selected option.
Protect All: Protect all the files in the current storage location.
Unprotect All: Unprotect all the files in the current storage
location.
NOTE:
• The icon appears on the LCD screen when you review the protected files.
• Protected files can’t be deleted. Remove protection before deleting.
• Formatting internal memory or SD card deletes all files, including the
protected files.
