Connecting to a PC (for non-
linear editing/file transfer)
Non-linear editing of video data on SD cards can be performed by connecting the unit via the
USB cable to a PC for editing.
∫ For Windows
≥ Even if the system requirements mentioned in these operating instructions are fulfilled,
some PCs cannot be used.
≥ Operation is not guaranteed in the following cases.
j Operation on an upgraded OS.
j Operation on an OS other than the one pre-installed.
j When a hub or other device is connected between the unit and a PC.
≥ Not compatible with Microsoft Windows 3.1, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 98SE,
Windows Me, Windows NT and Windows 2000.
≥ The USB equipment operates with the driver installed as standard in the OS.
