4. Make sure the fi lm perforations lie evenly

between the guide rails (Fig. 10)

5. Close the fi lm compartment door

until it latches. The Film Take-Up Spool will

automatically take up the fi lm.

6. Slide the Power On/Off switch to the ‘ON’

position (Fig. 11). The LCD will show “1”.

7. Your camera is now ready to take your fi rst
picture.

Note: If the LCD panel does not show “1” and/or
the

icon is blinking, the fi lm may not be

loaded properly. Please open the Film Compartment
Door and repeat the fi lm loading procedures.

Taking photographs
1. Slide the Power On/Off switch to the ‘ON’ position to turn on the camera
(Fig.

11).

2. Hold the camera steady with both hands. Be careful not to block the Lens,

Flash and Flash Sensor with your fi ngers or hair.

3. Look through the Viewfi nder Eyepiece and center the main subject in the
Viewfi nder. To ensure sharp pictures, make sure your subject is at least

4.92ft. (1.5m) away from the camera.

4. To compose your picture using the power zoom feature, simply press one

of the power zoom buttons. By pressing the Tele Power Zoom button,

marked with “T”, the lens will extend outward toward the 70mm telephoto

setting to allow you to zoom in on your subject. By pressing the Wide

Power Zoom button, marked with “W”, the lens will retract back into the

camera toward the 35mm wide (normal) setting.

5. Once you have composed your picture, press and hold the Shutter Release

Button to take a picture.

6. The camera will advance automatically to the next frame.

About the Flash
This camera is equipped with a built-in auto fl ash unit that will automatically
activate and fi re in the event of insuffi cient lighting conditions. The fl ash
icon on the LCD will blink while charging. The green Flash Ready
