You can correct images where the flash has caused the subject to
appear with red eyes.

Enter the Playback mode and press the four-way
controller (45) to choose the image you want to
correct.

Press the four-way controller (3).
The Mode Palette appears.

Use the four-way controller
(2345) to select Z
(Red-eye Compensation).

Press the OK button.
A confirmation dialog for overwriting the
image appears.
If the “Cannot process correctly” error
message is displayed, go to step 5 in “Manual compensation for red-
eyes”
(p.146 ).

Use the four-way controller (23) to select [Overwrite]
or [Save as].
When the image is protected, [Save as] will be selected automatically.

Press the OK button.
The edited image is saved with the same number of recorded pixels
and quality level as the original.
