Put the plug in the wall socket.

Press the on/off button.

The temperature setting of 110 appears on the display (Fig. 2).

As soon as the appliance has heated up to this setting, the word

‘READY’ appears on the display.

Tip: If you lock the plates with the closing lock, the straightener heats up

more quickly.

Select a temperature setting that is suitable for your hair type.

Select a low temperature setting when you use the straightener for

the first time.

For coarse, curly or hard-to-straighten hair, select a medium to high

setting (170 and up).

For fine, medium-textured or softly waved hair, select a medium to

low setting (160 and down).

Take extra care with pale, blonde, bleached or colour-treated hair, since

it is susceptible to damage at high temperatures.

Press the + button to increase the temperature setting or press

the - button to decrease the temperature setting (Fig. 3).

The display shows the selected temperature setting.

When the appliance has heated up to the selected setting, the word

‘READY’ appears on the display.

The bars on the display show the remaining usage time of the

appliance. The total usage time is 60 minutes. Every ten minutes one

of the six bars disappears.

5

Comb or brush your hair so that it is disentangled and

smooth. (Fig. 4)

Use a comb to divide the hair into sections. Do not put too much hair in

one section.
Tip: It is better to section off the crown area and to straighten the hair

underneath first, followed by the top area.
