Various Language and Subtitle Settings
Setting the subtitle display
Select whether or not to turn the display of subtitles on or off or to display “Assist
Subtitle”. Switch the setup screen to the expert mode before making this
setting. (Page 62)
• On: The subtitles are displayed.
• Off: The subtitles are not displayed.
(Subtitles are automatically displayed for
some DVDs.) (Page 68)
• Assist Subtitle: “Assist Subtitles” are
descriptions of the scene, etc., for the
hearing impaired. When this item is
selected, the assist subtitles are
displayed. Assist Subtitles are only
displayed when they are recorded on the
disc.
This setting cannot be changed during
playback.
