Possible Lean Fuel Mixture Cause

Solution

Low or contaminated fuel

Add or change fuel, clean the fuel system

Low octane fuel

Replace with recommended fuel

Clogged fuel filter

Replace filter

Incorrect jetting

Possible Rich Fuel Mixture Cause

Solution

Overuse of choke

Inspect, clean and/or replace spark plugs

Fuel is very high octane

Replace with lower octane fuel

Incorrect jetting
