When a pre-recorded tape is used for recording, colored noise may appear on the
beginning of the playback picture.

Press STOP to halt playback.

Turn the SHUTTLE ring left to rewind the tape when the VCR is stopped. Press
STOP to stop.

Turn the SHUTTLE ring right to fast forward the tape when the VCR is stopped.
Press STOP to stop.

Fast forward/rewind time of a T-160 tape is about 160 seconds, but can vary
according to the type of tape.

PLAYBACK MODE

When you press the REC/PLAY MODE button, playback mode is switched in the
following order: 8H, L24H, L40H, 8H (for a tape recorded in one of these modes).

Picture jitter or noise may occur when the tape is played back in L24H or L40H mode
(even if the tape was recorded in that mode).

A tape recorded in SP mode using another VCR can only be played back in 2H mode.

AUDIO PLAYBACK

There is normal sound playback only when a tape recorded in 8H, L24H, or L40H mode is
played back in its respective mode.
