Safety Precautions
To ensure proper op er a tion, read this man u al thor ough ly be fore us ing
this prod uct. Af ter read ing, be sure to keep it where it can be seen by
all those who use the prod uct.
Precautions for Use
• Do not use the product with non-compatible devices.
• Unplug the power cable from the power outlet when not in use.
• Do not short the DC plug.
• Do not apply excessive force to the DC plug or cable while the AC
adapter and camera are con nect ed. Failure to ob serve this precaution
may re sult in mal func tion.
Connecting the AC Adapter
Before connecting the AC adapt er, be sure the camera is off.
Follow these steps to connect the adapter (Figure 2):
1 Plug the AC adapter plug into the AC adapt er (Figure 2-a).
2 Open the camera DC-IN connector cover and in sert the DC plug into
the DC-IN con nec tor (Figure 2-b).
3 Plug the wall plug into a pow er outlet (Figure 2-c).
4 Turn the camera on.
You can now use the camera. When operating the camera with the
AC adapter, take care that the camera does not ac ci den tal ly be come
un plugged.
• The AC adapter can be connected while a battery is inserted in the
camera. While the AC adapter is connected, power will be supplied
by the AC adapter, not the battery. The battery can also be removed
to make the camera lighter. To prevent the accumulation of dust
inside the camera while the battery is removed, attach the battery
chamber cover to the camera. For information on removing the
battery chamber cover from the battery, see the instruction manual
provided with the EN-EL4 rechargeable Li-ion battery.
✔ IMPORTANT
Before disconnecting the AC adapt er, be sure the camera
is off. Unplug the DC plug from the camera’s DC-IN con-
nec tor, then unplug the pow
er cable from the power
source by pull ing on the plug, not the cable.

Nutzungshinweise

Anschluss des Netzadapters an die Kamera
Ehe Sie den Netzadapter anschließen, stellen Sie sicher, dass die
Kamera ausgeschaltet ist.
Gehen Sie dann in der nachfolgend beschriebenen Reihenfolge
vor (Ab bil dung 2).
1 Schließen Sie das Netzkabel am Netzadapter an (Ab bil dung
2-a).
2 Öffnen Sie die Abdeckung des Netzadapteranschlusses und
stecken Sie den Stecker des Adapterkabels in die Anschluss-
buchse (Ab bil dung 2-b).
3 Stecken Sie den Netzstecker des Netzkabels in eine Steckdose
(Ab bil dung 2-c).
4 Schalten Sie die Kamera ein.
Sie können jetzt mit der Kamera arbeiten. Wenn Sie die Kamera
über den Netzadapter mit Strom versorgen, sollten Sie darauf
ach ten dass die Ver bin dung zwischen beiden Geräten nicht ver se -
hent lich getrennt wird, wäh rend die Kamera eingeschaltet ist.
• Wenn die Kamera über den Netzadapter ans Stromnetz an-
geschlossen wird und gleichzeitig ein Akku eingesetzt ist, er-
folgt die Stromversorgung der Kamera ausschließlich über den
Netzadapter, um den Akku zu entlasten. Sie können den Akku
auch entnehmen, um das Gewicht der Kamera zu reduzieren.
Lösen Sie nach der Entnahme des Akkus die Fachabdeckung
vom Akku und befestigen Sie sie wieder an der Kamera, um
das Innere des Akkufachs vor Staub zu schützen. Ausführli-
che Informationen zum Lösen der Fachabdeckung vom Akku
EN-EL4 fi nden Sie in der Bedienungsanleitung zum Akku.

Précautions d’utilisation

Connecter l’adaptateur secteur EH-6
Avant de connecter l’adaptateur secteur, vérifi ez que l’appareil
photo est bien hors tension. Suivez les étapes suivantes pour
connecter l’adaptateur (fi gure 2).
1 Branchez la fi che alimentation chargeur dans la prise ali men -
ta tion chargeur (fi gure 2-a).
2 Soulevez le cache du port d’entrée courant continu de l’ap-
pareil et insérez la fi che d’alimentation boîtier dans le port
d’entrée courant continu (fi gure 2-b).
3 Branchez la fi che alimentation secteur dans une prise de
cou rant (fi gure 2-c).
4 Mettez l’appareil-photo sous tension.
Vous pouvez maintenant utiliser votre appareil photo. Lorsque
l’ap pa reil photo fonctionne avec l’adaptateur secteur, veillez à
ce qu’il ne se débranche pas accidentellement.
• L’adaptateur secteur peut être connecté alors qu’un accumu-
lateur est inséré dans l’appareil. Lorsque l’adaptateur secteur
est connecté, ce dernier fournira l’alimentation à la place de
l’accumulateur. L’accumulateur peut également être retiré afi n
d’alléger l’appareil. Afi n d’éviter le dépôt de poussière lorsque
l’accumulateur n’est plus sur l’appareil, vous pouvez fi xer le
volet du logement pour accumulateur sur l’appareil. Si vous
désirez de plus amples informations afi n de retirer le volet
du logement pour accumulateur de l’accu lui-même, référez-
vous à la fi che technique fournie avec l’accumulateur Li-ion
rechargeable EN-EL4.

Two cord clips are included with the EH-6. When both the EH-6 and the
UC-E4 USB cable are connected, these clips can be used to clip the two
cables together, preventing the cables from tangling. Use the larger
side of the clip for the EH-6 DC cord, the smaller side for UC-E4.

Precauciones a tener en cuenta al utilizarlo

Conectar el Adaptador CA EH-6
Antes de conectar el adaptador de CA, asegúrese de que la

cámara. Para evitar la acumulación de polvo en la cámara
mientras no esté insertada la batería, coloque la tapa del re-
