12 Wire the radar system
Always install a separate circuit breaker or separate fuse for the radar system circuit.
12.1 Wiring guidelines
Most installation problems are caused by shortcuts taken with system cables. When wiring the radar:
ƒ DON'T make sharp bends in the cables.
ƒ DON'T run cables in a way that allows water to flow down into the connectors.
but
ƒ DO make drip and service loops.
ƒ DO use cable ties to keep the cables tidy and secure.
ƒ DO seal and protect all wiring connections if cables are shortened, lengthened, or re-
terminated.
ƒ DO leave room to easily access, install and remove cables.
12.2 Connect the interconnection cable (NS003105/NS003106) to the 25
kW scanner
1. Unscrew and lift away the hinged cover of the scanner.
2. Identify the connectors B, C, D, E, and F at the end of the interconnection cable.
3. Push the cable gland (D), a plain washer (B), the gasket (C) and another plain washer (B) over the connector end of the
interconnection cable (E) in the order shown. Push the interconnection cable through the cable inlet into the scanner.
