Depending on the EAP in use, only the ser ver or both the ser ver and client may be authen-
ticated and require a cer tificate. Ser ver cer tificates identify a ser ver, usually an authentica-
tion or RADIUS ser ver to clients. Most EAPs require a cer tificate issued by a root authority
or a trusted commercial Cer tificate Authority. Shown as the figure below.
Cer tificate issuer: Choose the ser ver that issues cer tificates.
Allow intermediate cer tificates: Must be in the ser ver cer tificate chain between the
ser ver cer tificate and the ser ver specified in the Cer tificate issuer field.
Ser ver name: Enter an authentication ser ver root.
