3.1 Environmental Reception Effects

With all wireless devices, the receiving ability may be affected by, but not limited to,
the following, therefore for best accuracy avoid the following situations:
• Long transmitting distance
• Nearby mountains and valleys
• Among tall buildings
• Near railway, high voltage cable, etc.
• Near freeway, airport, etc.
• Near construction site
• Inside concrete buildings
• Near electrical appliances
• Bad weather
• Inside moving vehicles
• Nearby metallic structures

3.2 Wave Signal Reception
As long as the batteries are supplying power to the monitor, the monitor will receive
the time signal and adjust time automatically. No manual adjustment is required after
power up. Accurate adjustment of the clock based on the time signal is supported in
the continental Europe.

The monitor automatically receives the time signal everyday at 1:00am and makes
any required adjustment to the time setting, indicated by the flashing RCC icon

If the time signal is successfully received the

will stop flashing.

Important: Do not press any button while the wave signal reception is in progress.

3.3 Triggering a Wave Signal Reception Manually

You can trigger a wave signal reception at any time by pressing the WAVE button.

3.4 Unsuccessful Wave Signal Reception

If the automatic updates are unsuccessful, the wave on top of the antenna tower
(RCC icon)

and the



will disappear. The unit will try to receive the signal

for 10 minutes every hour until successful reception.

4.0 Manual Calendar and Clock Setup
1. Press and hold the SET button to activate the calendar setup mode.
2. Press the + or – button to toggle to the correct year.
3. Press the SET button to confirm.
4. Follow steps 2-3 to set the date, time and 12hr/24hr mode.

5.0 Setting Time Zone

1. If you are at GMT+2 time zone area press the TIME ZONE button until DCF+1 is

displayed.

2. If you are at GMT time zone area press the TIME ZONE button until DCF-1 is

displayed.

3. If you are at GMT+1 time zone area press the TIME ZONE button until no DCF+1 or

DCF-1 is displayed.

6.0 Setting Alarm Time

1. Press the ALARM button once, the
