With its terminal and LCD combined into one slim unit,
the eClient 530L stands as a product that truly exempli-
fies the term "thin client." Even the power supply
unit is located inside the LCD panel to eliminate the
inconvenient external power brick commonly seen
with many LCDs. At a depth of less than 17 cm
and weight of only 5.0 kg, the eClient 530L min-
imizes footprint so users can maximize desktop
space.
The eClient 530L's 15 inch active
matrix TFT LCD is uniquely designed
for environments where performance as
well as a compact design is essential. Out-
standing specifications include a
0.297 mm pixel pitch and a 200
cd/m 2 brightness level, along with
features such as a single direction
tilt stand. The crisp, distortion-
free images, wide viewing
angles, and high brightness
characteristic of EIZO LCDs
are readily apparent with
the eClient 530L.
The eClient 530L provides a way to reclaim
100% of the desktop in a space constrained
environment with a design that complies with
the VESA industry standard for mounting.
Removing the panel from the stand
frees up the eClient 530L
for attachment to an
optional arm or wall
mount.
Designed for maximum energy savings, the eClient
530L consumes only 30 watts of power during nor-
mal operation. This is about half the power used by a
stand alone terminal and monitor, making it one of the
most energy efficient WBT solutions on the market today
and further lowering long term TCO. For additional reduc-
tion in electric and cooling costs and prevention of unneces-
sary use of the LCD's backlight, the eClient 530L enters a pow-
er saving mode during periods of inactivity where power con-
sumption drops to less than 5 watts.

display and terminal into one compact, hassle-free unit. IT
managers will appreciate this all-in-one arrangement with
its lower total cost of ownership (TCO) alternative to
acquiring the WBT and display separately. Furthermore,
users no longer have to sacrifice desktop or floor space to
accommodate a separate thin client terminal. eClient setup
is almost effortless; just connect the LAN cable and the sin-
gle power cord and the unit is ready for operation.
The eClient brings to network computing the often over-

To meet changing market requirements, EIZO offers two
versions of the eClient: the 530L featuring a 15 inch (38
cm) LCD and the 550C featuring a 17 inch (45 cm) CRT
display. In addition to utilizing a logic board with identical
specifications, both products have a resolution of 1024 ×
768, include a PS/2 keyboard and two button mouse, and
provide local printer support with a parallel port. To main-
