OBSERVED FAULT POSSIBLE CAUSE REMEDY
Motor does not run when you squeeze
trigger switches
1. Both trigger switches are not fully
depressed at the same time
2. Rear handle is not locked into one of
the 5 preset positions
3. Extension cord connection is loose
4. Household circuit breaker is tripped
or open line fuse
1. Fully squeeze both front and rear
trigger switches (see Basic Trimmer
Operation, page 5)
2. Verify rear handle is locked into one
of the 5 preset positions
3. Check cord connections
4. Check circuit breaker or line fuse
Motor runs, but cutting blades do not
move
Trimmer damaged. Do not use trimmer Contact DESA Power Tools if still under
warranty
