Panel Descriptions

Jack Panel

DC IN connector

Connect the included
AC adaptor here.

OUTPUT Jacks

These jacks can be connected
to an external amplifier,
mixer, audio recorder, etc.

INPUT Jacks

This jacks can input sound
from another device. You can
connect them to a MP3 player
or other audio source, and
hear the sound through the
C-230’s speakers.

EXPRESSION PEDAL Jack

You can connect an optional
expression pedal (Roland EV-5,
EV-7, etc.) to this jack.

MIDI IN/OUT
connectors

Use these when you want
to transmit or receive
MIDI messages to or
from an external MIDI
device.

Ground
terminal

SATELLITE L/R
sockets

This is where you
need to connect the
supplied satellite
speakers.

A, B switches

These will be used in the
event of a future upgrade.

They are not normally used.

SUSTAIN Jack

You can connect an
optional DP-series
damper pedal to this jack.

Cord hook (to the left of the DC IN
connector)

Use this to secure the AC adaptor cord.

USB MEMORY connector

This port is mainly intended for compact storage
devices, like a USB Flash memory (Roland
M-UF-series). You can use it to save the songs
you recorded and to play them back.

PHONES jack

This jack allows you to con-
nect a pair of headphones (sep-
arately available).
