Taking Close-up Pictures

(Macro Mode)

Use the macro function to shoot subjects at very close distances.When
using the macro function, maintain a distance of about 20 and 80cm (8

and 31

″). Pictures taken outside this range are likely to be out of focus

or poorly exposed.

Minimum distance: approximately 20cm (8

)

Telephoto: If you wish to further enlarge the image, push the zoom

lever toward T (telephoto).
Monitor is filled by a 8cm (3

″) × 6cm (2″) subject.

Wide-angle:If you wish to make the image smaller, push the zoom lever

toward W (wide).
Monitor is filled by a 17cm (6

″) × 22cm (8″) subject.

Open the lens barrier.

• The camera turns on in

shooting mode.

Press the monitor button (

).

• The monitor will illuminate.

repeatedly until the macro
mark is displayed on the
monitor.

Confirm the position of the
subject with the monitor and
