Within the CAMEDIA C-4040 Zoom’s attractive, compact
exterior lies a very special lens. Instead of simply
fitting a traditional lens to a digital body, we designed
a lens exclusively for digital photography.
By focusing light at a more direct angle, all 4 million
pixel wells are properly filled, resulting in true, natural
color and sharp detail from edge to edge.
It also results in a camera you’ll want to use day and
night, indoors and out. So we made it a super bright
f1.8. With a lens this versatile, you’ll find yourself in
more right places at more right times than ever before.

It’s a 7.1mm – 21.3mm aspherical glass 3x optical zoom
lens, equivalent to a 35mm – 105mm film lens. And with
the 7.5x digital zoom, you can go to the equivalent of 262mm.
