USING THE FLASH

Open the lens barrier fully.

The camera turns on in the shooting mode.

The current flash setting is displayed.

while the current flash setting is displayed.

Each time you press

, the flash mode changes in the following

sequence: AUTO -

Take the picture.

Auto-flash (No indication)

The flash fires automatically in low light or backlight conditions.

Red-eye reduction flash (

)

The red-eye reduction flash mode reduces this phenomenon by emitting pre-
flashes before firing the regular flash.

Fill-in flash (

)

The flash always fires every time the shutter button is released.

Flash off (

)

The flash does not fire even in low light conditions.

TAKING CLOSE-UP PICTURES (MACRO MODE)

The macro mode allows you to shoot a subject at a distance of 0.2 - 0.8 m/
0.7 - 2.6 ft.

Open the lens barrier fully.

The camera turns on in the shooting mode.

The monitor turns on and the current AF setting is displayed.

until

is displayed.

The setting changes in the sequence AF -

each time

pressed. When the macro mode is selected, the macro mode indicator

is displayed.

Take the picture while observing your subject on the monitor.

To cancel macro mode, press

repeatedly until AF appears. The

macro mode indicator

disappears.

The flash working range is approximately 3.4 m/11.2 ft.
