Inspection

If equipment is received in damaged condition a claim must be made

with the delivering carrier. It is the customer’s responsibility to report

any concealed or non-concealed damage to the freight company.

Unpack and Set-Up

Refer to the Installation section of the Equipment Manual for complete

installation and electrical connection instructions.
1.

Carefully lift the toaster out of the carton.

2.

Remove all loose parts and documents from the bottom of the

carton.

3.

Pull the door handle up and forward to open the door. Then,

remove all components from inside the toaster.

4.

Remove and discard all packing material from the toaster and

components.

5.

Position the toaster in place. Adjust the bottom section of each

leg as necessary to level the toaster.

6.

Adjust the heat curtain at the rear of the toaster so that is sits on

the countertop. Tighten the screws that hold the curtain in place.

7.

The door handle is pre-installed on the left side of the toaster. If it

is necessary to move the door handle to the right side of the toaster,

perform the following procedure. Refer to the Installation section

of the Equipment Manual for illustrations.
•

Rotate the door handle in a COUNTER-CLOCKWISE direction

until it is free of its mounting shaft.

•

Remove the round metal plug that covers the handle mounting

hole on the right side of the toaster.

•

Reinstall the metal plug into the left handle mounting hole.

•

Install the handle on the right side of the toaster. Rotate it in

a CLOCKWISE direction until it is firmly in place.

•

Check that the door handle points DOWN while the door is in

the closed position. If it is necessary to reposition the handle,

loosen its 5/32”/4mm Allen set screw. Reposition the handle,

then tighten the screw to fasten the handle in place.

8.

Slide the lower deck into the toaster as shown in Figure 1.

9.

Store the peel in a clean, dry location underneath the toaster.

10. Refer to the Installation section of the Equipment Manual before

connecting the toaster to the electrical power supply.

11. Check that the appropriate receptacle is available for the power

cord plug.

12. Insert the power cord plug into its receptacle.
13. If required by national or local codes, connect an equipotential

ground wire to the lug next to the equipotential ground symbol on

the rear of the toaster (shown in Figure 1). The equipotential

ground connection must meet all applicable national and local code

requirements.

14. Refer to the Installation section of the Equipment Manual to per-

form the “Checking the Installation” procedure.

Operation

CAUTION-HOT

During operation, the peel and toaster are hot. Use caution to

avoid injury.

Refer to the Operation section of the Equipment Manual for complete

operating and programming instructions.
Refer to Figure 2 for the locations of the controls described below.
1.

Switch the Power On/Off (“I/O”) switch to the ON (“I”) position.

2.

Allow the toaster to pre-heat for 15 minutes until “rdY” (ready)

appears in the display.

3.

Push and hold the appropriate Program Key until the toaster beeps

once.

4.

Load the bakery product onto the peel, cut side facing UP.

5.

Pull the door handle forward to open the door.

6.

Slide the peel into the toaster to load the product.

7.

Release the door handle to allow the door to close.

8.

During toasting, the peel can be left inside the toaster or removed,

as you prefer. To remove the peel (if so desired), hold the door

handle closed as you pull the peel out of the toaster.

9.

Push the STOP/START key. The digital timer will begin counting

down.

10. Push the STOP/START key when the toaster beeps at the end of

the preset time.
CAUTION: When the preset time elapses, the bakery product is

correctly toasted. Leaving the product inside the toaster after

the first beep has sounded will burn the bakery product.

11. Pull the door handle forward to open the door.
12. If you removed the peel in Step 8, insert it into the toaster and

underneath the bakery product. Remove the peel (now holding the

bakery product) from the toaster.

13. Remove the toasted bakery product from the peel.

WARNING: In case of fire, IMMEDIATELY disconnect the toaster

from its electrical power supply.
WARNING: Never attempt to move the toaster by inserting the

hands into the entrance/exit opening. Never attempt to move the

toaster while it is plugged into a power socket.
WARNING: Never insert metal tools inside the toaster.
