Tone Control
You can change the bass and treble sound between “–4”
to “+4”.

Press the BASS or TREBLE button.
To adjust the level of low frequency sound range,
press the BASS button.
To adjust the level of high frequency sound range,
press the TREBLE button.

Within 3 seconds, press the VOLUME ( + / – )
buttons to change the setting.
The level can be adjusted from “–4” to “+4”
The higher the treble number, the more the high
frequencies are emphasized.
The higher the bass number, the more the low
frequencies are emphasized.
iPod/iPhone
iPod/iPhone compatibility
The following iPod/iPhone models can be connected to
and used with this unit:
iPod 5th generation (video)
iPod classic
iPod nano (2nd to 5th generation)
iPod touch (1st to 3rd generation)
iPhone (1st generation and 3G/3GS/4)
Dock adapter
When you use an iPhone
e Set the supplied iPhone dock adapter into the dock.
iPhone 3G/3GS
iPhone 1st generation
iPhone 3G/3GS
iPhone 4 iPhone 4
When you use other than iPhone
e Use the dock adapter that came with the iPod or a
dock adapter purchased from the Apple Store as an
optional accessory.
Setting the adapter into the dock
Fit the front edge of the adapter into the dock, and then
press the back edge of the adapter onto the dock until
a slight “click” is heard indicating the adapter is inserted
correctly.

o To remove the adapter, hold its left and right sides and
gently pull it up.
Compatible iPod/iPhone software
In case your iPod/iPhone will not work with the SR-80i or
with the remote control unit, software update may solve
the problem.
