IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS COMPLETELY BEFORE USING.
2. To protect against the risk of electrical shock do not immerse or rinse cord, plugs or this appliance in
water or any other liquid.
3. Only the detachable blending wand, whisk and cup are designed to be immersed in liquid. Never
submerge any other portion of this appliance into liquid. If the Hand Blender accidently falls into
water or any other liquid, unplug it immediately. Do not reach into the liquid to remove the blender
until the unit is unplugged.
4. This appliance should not be used by children and care should be taken when used near children.
5. Unplug from outlet when not in use, before adding or removing parts and before cleaning.
6. Avoid all contact with moving parts. Keep hands and utensils out of your mixing container and away
from the cutting blade while blending to prevent the possibility of severe injury to persons or damage
to the unit. A scraper may be used but must be used only when the unit is not running.
7. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or is
dropped or has been damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to Taylor® (see warranty) for
examination, repair or adjustment. Do not attempt to repair or replace any parts yourself.
8. Do not use attachments that are not supplied for this appliance by Taylor®. The use of attachments
not recommended or sold by Taylor may cause fire, electric shock or injury.
9. Do not use outdoors.
10. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces including the stove.
11. Blades are sharp; handle very carefully at all times, especially when cleaning.
12. When mixing liquids, especially hot liquids, use a tall container or make small quantities at a time to
reduce spillage.
13. Be certain the wand or whisk is securely locked in place before operating the appliance.
14. Do not leave the appliance unattended during use.
15. To disconnect, be sure the unit is off, then remove the plug from the wall outlet by grasping the plug
and pulling. Never unplug the appliance by pulling on the cord.
16. Make sure the motor stops completely and the electrical cord is unplugged before disassembling or
cleaning.
17. Ensure the unit is completely assembled before using.
18. Do not place this appliance near a hot gas or electric burner or in an oven.
19. Do not use this appliance for other than its intended home use.
20. Remove the detachable wand or whisk before cleaning.
21. Never operate the hand blender in an empty container without a mixture.
22. IMPORTANT: With heavy mixtures, do not use the hand blender for longer than 30 seconds at a time.
After 30 seconds, shut the hand blender off and allow to cool for 1 ½ minutes before using again to
prevent overheating.
