piece with each load for a month and comparing this piece with the
rest of the set to determine if there has been any fading or discolora-
tion.

Decorated crystal, those hand painted, “on-glaze” or metal trimmed,
may discolor, fade, or spot. It is recommended that these be hand
washed. Also, fragile glassware is highly breakable. BE SURE to set the
pieces so that they do not topple during washing or shift position or
knock against other pieces.

Milk glass may yellow. Some glass may appear hazy. This is referred to as
etching when it is permanent. See Page 9, Water Hardness.
