Procedure for Windows XP with
service pack 1
1. On the PC hosting the folders and files to be shared, right
click the folder.
2. From the pop-up menu select “Sharing and Security…”
3. In the folder properties dialog box, select “Share this folder
on the network”.
4. Click “OK”.
How do I check if my machine is
running service pack 1 or 2?
1. Click “Start” button
2. Click “Settings | Control Panel”.
3. In the Control Panel, double-click on “System”.
4. Select the “General” tab to check what operating system
and service pack is currently being used.
