• If you have a serial number, enter it then select OK. SpruceUp's Preferences menu
displays next, followed directly by the SpruceUp Registration dialog.
• If you have a serial number but need to first locate it, select Exit to halt starting
SpruceUp so that you can find the serial number and restart SpruceUp to get to this
dialog again.
Warning: If you choose to not enter the serial number and instead
select Trial, you can only get back to this dialog by first removing then re-
installing SpruceUp and entering the serial number when this dialog
displays again.
• Select the Trial button if you do not have a serial number.
Upgrading to or Enabling the Full Version
There is no cost to enable a full version of SpruceUp – the only requirement is that you have
Internet access and the serial number.
The cost to upgrade from the trial version to a full version of SpruceUp is displayed on the
registration site. Upgrading requires you to have Internet access and a credit card.
Important: Windows NT 4.0 and 2000 users must log on as
Administrator to install and upgrade/enable SpruceUp. Once SpruceUp is
installed, has been run the first time, and upgraded/enabled, it can be run
under other log ons.
To upgrade to or enable the full version:
1 Start SpruceUp (if not already running it).
2 Select Register from the Launch Window. If the Launch Window is not displayed,
select Help from the Menu Bar then Registration/Upgrade. Alternatively, press Ctrl
+ 4 to open the Launch Window.
