Troubleshooting

The VC-12 doesn’t turn on when I turn
on the connected device?

• Make sure that your Valvetronix amp or

VOX BUS-compatible device is connected
to the VC-12’s VOX BUS MAIN connector.
(The VC-12 cannot receive power via the
VOX BUS SUB connector.)

• Make sure that the connected device is

working properly.

• Check the connecting cable for damage.

My amp produces no sound?

• Make sure that your guitar is connected

correctly.

• Make sure that the volume controls on

your guitar are not turned off.

• Make sure that the VC-12’s built-in tuner is

not set for silent tuning.

• Make sure that the Volume pedal is not

fully up.

• Check your guitar cable.

Can’t turn effects on or off from the
VC-12?

• On the connected device, make sure that

the effects section is not turned off, and
check its settings.

• Make sure that the connected device’s

effects loop is not bypassed.

The Expression pedal doesn’t work?

• On the connected device, make sure that

an effect is selected in the Pedal effect
section.

• If you are using a Valvetronix amp, to

control a Modulation effect, the amp’s [EX
CTL] switch must be set to ON.

The Expression pedal or Volume pedal
doesn’t respond properly?

• If the settings of the VC-12 and connected

device seem OK, try calibrating the pedal.
