IPX Spoofing
The Prestige comes with several pre-defined call filters designed to
prevent certain IPX packets from triggering a call to a Remote
Node. These filters should inform your Prestige which packets
should be ignored as traffic.
When you are routing IPX packets, the default call filters are
defined as follows:
•
Block periodical SAP and RIP response messages.
•
Block NetWare serialization packets.
•
Allow SAP and RIP inquiry packets.
These call filters prevent the Prestige from making a call to the Remote
Node, thus preventing the expense of an unnecessary phone call.
IPX Ethernet Setup
The first step is to set up the Prestige on the LAN. From menu 3,
select option 3 to go to Menu 3.3 - Novell IPX Ethernet Setup as
seen below:
