Installation

1. Connect your AV devices (DVD player, satellite receiver, etc.) to the “Matrix 420” HDMI switching
console inputs. Ensure that your devices are switched off.
2. Connect your display devices (monitor, LCD, etc.) to the HDMI outputs on the switching console.
3. Connect the 5 V power supply unit to the console’s power supply input.
4. Switch your display devices on.
5. Switch your source devices (AV devices) on.
6. Switch between the individual AV devices using the remote control or the “Select” button

on the front side of the HDMI switching console.
7. The “Switch A” and “Switch B” buttons on the front side of the console can be used to switch
each output to any input.

Remote control

You can use the Power key to turn the switch on and off. The Off keys control the outputs A and B.
You can switch between the inputs by using the keys 1-4. The Query key identifi es the device that is
connected to output A or B and indicates the active device by means of a fl ashing LED.

Troubleshooting

Problem

Solution

HDMI Switcher »Matrix 420« will not
operate:

• Make sure the 5 V power supply unit is plugged in the

HDMI Switcher »Matrix 420«. Check to see if the light
is on.

No picture/Signal/poor picture:

• Make sure your video display is HDCP compatible.
• If you are using HDMI copper cable, overall length of

cable should not exceed 5 m.

• Make sure all HDMI connectors are tightly secured to

all HDMI ports.

• Turn off all equipments and restart all equipments.

Remote control unit will not operate:

• Make sure the battery is in the remote control.

Safety Instructions

1. Keep appliance away from dirt and moisture and avoid overheating. Only use in dry rooms.
2. Do not open up appliance. If appliance becomes damaged, discontinue use.
Only allow specialists to repair device.
3. Only use dry, soft cloths for cleaning purposes.
4. Caution: Do not let children handle this or any other electrical appliance.
5. Keep away from direct sunlight, radiators and vibrations. Protect from dust.
6. If not intending to use appliance for a long period, disconnect from mains.
7. 100 ~ 240 V AC / 50 Hz
