3 Keep the hot straightening plates away from the skin.

4 Do not leave the appliance unattended while plugged in.

5 Only set the appliance down on a heat-proof surface.

6 Do not use attachments other than those we supply.

7 Do not twist or kink the cable, or wrap it round the appliance.

8 Do not use the appliance if it is damaged or malfunctions.

9 If the cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or

someone similarly qualified, in order to avoid hazard.

10 This appliance is not intended for commercial or salon use.

11 Let the appliance cool down before cleaning and storing away.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

1 Before use, ensure the hair is clean, dry and tangle-free.

2 Section the hair prior to styling. Style the lower layers first.

3 Plug in the styler and press and hold the on button to switch on. When the styler is

plugged in but not turned the lock symbol will be illuminated indicating styler is in

stand by mode. The Heat Protection function will automatically be on when the

styler is turned on – indicated by the pulsing indicator icon.

To turn this function off press and hold the Heat Protection Sensor on-off button.

4 Start styling on lower temperatures first. Select appropriate temperature for your hair

type using the controls on the side of the straightener.

Recommended Temperatures:

160°C - 180°C

Fine

180°C - 200°C

Medium

200°C - 230°C

5 The temperature display will stop flashing once the desired temperature is reached

– this will be about 15 seconds.

6 Working on one section at a time run the straightener through the entire length of the

hair, without stopping.

If the Heat Protection Sensor is on during styling it will monitor moisture in the hair and

continually optimise the temperature to prevent damage without compromising on

results. These changes are not displayed by the straightener and happen quickly and

automatically during styling.

7 When finished press and hold the off button for two seconds to turn off and unplug the

appliance.

Switch lock function

Set the desired temperature by pressing +/- buttons and lock the switch settings by pressing

the ‘-‘ button for 2 seconds. A ‘padlock’ symbol will appear next to the temperature.

To unlock the switch settings, press and hold the ‘-‘ button again for 2 seconds.

Hinge lock for storage

Plates can be shut together for easy storage

Locked- Push the hinge lock up to the locked position

Unlocked- Pull the hinge lock down to the unlocked position

,: Do not heat the unit in the locked position

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Unplug the appliance and let it cool.

Wipe all surfaces with a damp cloth.

Don’t use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents or solvents.

electronic goods, appliances marked with this symbol must not be

disposed of with unsorted municipal waste, but recovered,

reused or recycled.

SERVICE AND GUARANTEE

This product has been checked and is free of defects.

We guarantee this product against any defects that are due to faulty material or workmanship

for the guarantee period from the original date of consumer purchase.

If the product should become defective within the guarantee period, we will repair any such

defect or elect to replace the product or any part of it without charge, provided there is proof of

purchase.

This does not mean an extension of the guarantee period.

In the case of a guarantee simply call the Service Centre in your region.

This guarantee is offered over and above your normal statutory rights.

The guarantee shall apply in all countries in which our product was sold via an authorised

dealer.

This guarantee does not include damage to the product by accident or misuse, abuse, alteration

to the product or use inconsistent with the technical and/or safety instructions required.

This guarantee shall not apply if the product has been dismantled or repaired by a person not

authorised by us.

If you ring the Service Centre, please have the Model No. to hand, as we won’t be able to help

you without it.

It’s on the rating plate which can be found on the appliance.
