Main Unit Batteries: On the back of each main unit, remove the battery compartment
covers. Insert 2 AAA alkaline (or lithium) batteries in each main unit making sure they are
installed according to the correct polarity (+/-). Replace the covers on each main unit.

Wireless Sensor

Main Units

Wireless Sensor
This water resistant wireless sensor is intended for outdoor use. When deciding where to
place the sensor, make sure it will be protected from direct sunlight and precipitation. Do not
drop the remote sensor. It is sensitive, and not designed to withstand high impact blows.

Wireless Sensor Batteries: On the back of the wireless sensor unit, remove the battery
compartment cover. Insert 2 AAA alkaline (or lithium) batteries making sure they are
installed according to the correct polarity (+/-). Replace the cover.

You may need to wait a few minutes after batteries are installed for the units to communi-
cate with each other. When they do, both the indoor and outdoor temperatures will be
shown on the main unit LCD display. If nothing is displayed after a few minutes, refer to
section 4 of this manual for troubleshooting.

NOTE: The wireless sensor’s LED flashes momentarily whenever it sends information –
about once each minute.

batteries according to instructions in this manual.
NOTE:After replacing remote sensor batteries, you must
press the RESET button on the main unit.

Follow section 3 of this instruction booklet and
replace the batteries in the main unit.

The main unit may be affected by electrical interfer-

Main Units
The Main units are intended for indoor use only. When deciding where to put the main units,
choose a dry location away from dust, dirt, mold and smoke, and avoid temperature
extremes. Do not drop the main units. They are sensitive electronic devices, and are not
designed to withstand high impact blows.

NOTE:Install batteries in both of the MAIN UNITS before installing batteries in the
wireless sensor.

Placement & Mounting
Choose a location for each unit that is at least 10 feet away from other electronic devices
that may interfere with the wireless signal. When you decide on a good location, (A steady
signal from the sensor is being received by the main unit LCD display), hang the main unit
and wireless sensor using the triangular indents found on the backs of the units.
You may choose to place the main units on a table-top or desktop surface.

Pictured above is a common placement scenario. The main units can be placed
anywhere within 100 feet of the wireless sensor. Placement is not limited to one unit
being placed on a first and second level of a building or house as pictured here.

Severe cold (below -4º F/-20º C) can cause alkaline
batteries to freeze and function improperly. Use lithium
batteries in extremely low temperature conditions to
ensure continued operation.
