1.1 ACCESSORIES AND PACKING LIST

Congratulations on choosing the finest, most advanced

panel mount IFR navigation/communication system
available. The GNC 420 represents Garmin’s commitment
to provide accurate, easy-to-use avionics.

Before installing and getting started with the GNC 420,

please check to see that the package includes the following
items. If any parts are missing or damaged, please contact
a Garmin dealer immediately.

The Garmin dealer installs and configures the GNC 420.

The GNC 420 is secured in the installation rack with the
proper wiring connections. A Garmin dealer can answer
any questions about the installation, such as location
of antennas or any connections to other equipment in
the panel. After installation, the NavData Card and the
TERRAIN Data Card (if applicable) are inserted into their
correct slots on the front of the unit (Appendix A).

NOTe: Help Garmin provide better support by
completing on-line registration. registration
ensures notification of product updates, new
products, and provides for lost or stolen unit
tracking. Have the serial number of the GNC
420 available and connect to the website (www.
garmin.com). Look for the product registration
link on the home page.
