Customizing Your Device

Display Settings

From the main menu, select Setup >

Display.
Backlight Timeout—see

Battery Save—see

Colors—sets the colors used on the

device screens.

Main, Setup, Find Style—allows

you to select how the main menu,

setup menu, and search menu

appear.

Screen Capture—allows you to

take screen captures on the device.

Setting Up Tones

Your Garmin device allows you to

customize the key tones and message

beeps, or to turn off tones.

From the main menu, select Setup

> Tones.

Marine Settings

From the main menu, select Setup >

Marine.
Marine Chart Mode—allows you

to select a nautical chart or a fishing

chart:

Nautical (requires marine

maps)—displays various map

features in different colors so

that the marine POIs are more

readable. The nautical chart

reflects the drawing scheme of

paper charts.

Fishing (requires marine

maps)—displays a detailed

view of bottom contours and

depth soundings. Simplifies map

presentation for optimal use

while fishing.
