Custom POIs (Points of Interest)
Your c340 will accept custom points of interest (POI) databases,
available from various companies on the Internet. Some custom
POI databases contain alert information for points such as safety
cameras and school zones. Your c340 can notify you when you
approach one of these points.
After downloading your POI database, use the Garmin POI Loader
to install the POIs into your unit. The POI Loader is available
at
http://www.garmin.com/products/sp340 . Select Updates
and Downloads . Refer to the POI Loader Help File for more
information; press F1 to open the Help File.
Custom POIs are stored in My Locations > Custom POIs .
Adjusting the Proximity Alarms
To turn on or off the proximity alarms, from the Menu page, touch
> System > Proximity Alarms .
