General information
- The markings on the water gauge and/or

on the jug help you to measure the
amount of water needed to prepare the
required number of cups of coffee. If
your appliance comes with a double
graduation scale, the one on the left-hand
side corresponds to medium-sized cups
with a capacity of approx. 125 ml, the one
on the right-hand side to smaller-sized
coffee cups. Take care not to exceed the
indicated maximum number of cups.

Always switch off and allow the coffee
maker to cool down for about 5 minutes
before it is switched don again.

Warning! Be careful not to fill water into
the reservoir immediately after a brewing
cycle is complete as hot steam may
escape from the water nozzle.

To prepare filter coffee
- Filling the water reservoir
Open the water reservoir lid. Fill the
reservoir with the required amount of fresh
cold water and close the lid.
- Inserting the paper filter
Insert a size-4 paper filter, first folding down
the perforated sides of the filter.
- Adding ground coffee
We recommend using fine ground filter
coffee, approximately 6 g = 1

into the jug, remove the jug to serve the

Coffee maker with ”put on” filter holder:

Remove the filter holder from the jug and
replace it by the jug lid.
- Switching off the appliance
Once the filtering process is complete, switch
off the appliance and unplug from the mains
supply socket.

Coffee maker with hotplate:

The hotplate will keep remaining coffee
warm as long as you leave it switched on.
Switch the appliance off after use.

Coffee maker with drip-through lid
During the filtering process and while
pouring the coffee out, the drip-through lid
does not need to be removed and should
remain on the jug. To pour the coffee, press
the lever on the lid down to open it, when
the coffee may now pass out through the
spout.

Coffee maker with vacuum jug
- For technical reasons the screw cap does

not close hermetically. Therefore always
hold the jug in an upright position.

- A vacuum jug accumulates heat energy.

Therefore the jug should preferably be
filled to its maximum capacity. If it is only
partly filled, the temperature will not be
held as efficiently.
If you rinse out the jug
with hot water before use, the coffee will
be kept warm for a longer time.

Vacuum jug with glass flask
The glass flask of the jug is made of high
quality double-walled glass with a vacuum
in-between for better insulation. Any marks
inside the jug looking like bubbles or
scratches do not affect its use nor its ability
to keep the temperature.
In case the glass is damaged for one or the
other reason as mentioned below, there is a
risk that the glass flask implodes.
This might
happen quite some time after the glass flask
has actually been damaged.

Therefore do not drink out of the jug and
