3. VTR Control Panel
3.1 INTRODUCTION
3.1.1 P
URPOSE
The purpose of the VTR Control Panel is to control a VTR (Video Tape Recorder)
from IPDirector. It is an advanced remote control, from within the IPDirector
application.
Apart from playback and record control, it also allows the extraction of clips from
a tape to the EVS video servers. This process can be done with an individual
“auto-edit” or multiples can be “batch digitized”.

The VTR Control Panel has 3 display modes:

transport mode
•
auto-edit mode
•
batch list mode
The display modes are controlled by the buttons in the top right corner of the
initial VTR Control Panel window.

Batch list mode
To select a display mode: click the corresponding block (top left / top right /
bottom).
