Introduction
Introduction
A service carrier is a new differential carrier used to replace
current models or upgrade older axle models to current model
configurations. Yokes are not included unless otherwise noted.
Use this book to determine which service carrier to order.
Some applications require a new yoke and slinger, details are
included with model descriptions. Unique part numbers have
been established for each new service carrier. Please use the new
service carrier part numbers when ordering.
Effective July 1, 2004, Dana Spicer eliminated the core charges
for all axle carriers.
Using this Book: Existing Axle Model to
Replacement Carrier Model
All carriers are identified by axle model. Follow these steps to
locate the appropriate service carrier for your existing axle model:
1. Find the axle model identification of your existing drive axle
model as listed in the Axle Model Index.
2. Go to the page referenced and select the proper carrier.
Note: Be sure to pay close attention to the notes to prevent
selecting the wrong part.

This book contains a section of Yoke Selection Instructions (see
Table of Contents). This section is referred to throughout the book.
