Determine which type of tube shaft you have

Slip tube shaft (pages 4-7)

Round tube shafts (page 8)

Midship tube shaft, style used with a companion fl ange or end yoke (pages 8-11)

Midship tube shaft, used with outboard slip yokes (pages 12-15)

To identify a Slip Tube Shaft:

1. Determine spline O.D. and number of teeth
2. Determine the size and wall thickness of the tube it fi ts
3. Determine weld to end of spline dimension

Check any other dimensions listed; Determine part number, check for footnotes

To identify a Companion fl ange or End Yoke Style Midship Tube Shaft:

1. Determine spline O.D. and number of teeth
2. Determine bearing diameter
3. Determine the size and wall thickness of the tube it fi ts
4. Determine end of spline to bearing shoulder dimension
5. Determine weld to end of spline dimension
6. Make sure thread type and size match part being identifi ed
7. Make sure style of shaft matches part being identifi ed

Check any other dimensions listed; Determine part number, check for footnotes
